It’s not Magic. It’s Math

For ten years we managed an international research organization packed with people that we didn’t understand at all.  They LOVED numbers.  To them numbers are like a crystal ball capable of forecasting the future with amazing accuracy.  Math and it is being used everyday to know what you’re going to buy before you do.

  1. Do you know why they they put produce at the front of the grocery store?  I always thought that was backwards because you put it at the bottom of the cart where it can g...

I woke up early this morning thinking about a comment made after an all-day program yesterday.  She said, “He knows how I am“.

Another Mental Myth Shattered

Memory statistics

Remember these impressive statistics.

We remember

10% of what we read

20% of what we hear

30% of what we see

50% of what we see and hear

70% of what we say

90% of what we say and do

The problem with these, like most simple solutions to complex problems, is they are wrong.  We all learn in different ways and at different paces.

The optimum learning design depends on the “content, context, and learner”.

Here are seven key points offered in research conducted by Cisco.*

  1. Avoid multitasking...
